Will it work with my theme?
FlatCart is a theme app embed. No code edits. It’s verified on Dawn, Sense, Craft, Refresh, Studio, and Horizon, and built for any Online Store 2.0 theme. Your theme’s own cart drawer is suppressed automatically so you never see two carts.
Will it slow my store down?
The whole widget is 12.3 KB of JavaScript and 3.5 KB of CSS gzipped, loaded without blocking rendering. The drawer renders nothing until it’s opened. You just used it in the demo above; that speed is the product.
Do my existing discount codes still work?
Yes. The drawer has a code field with real validation, and a code stacks with FlatCart’s automatic offers when you set it to combine with order discounts, which is a checkbox on the code in your Shopify admin. Codes that don’t combine still apply on their own, exactly as Shopify arbitrates them.
What happens if I uninstall?
Your theme is untouched; the embed simply disappears. Access is revoked immediately and all stored data is deleted within 48 hours. Reinstall within 48 hours and your setup is restored exactly as it was.
How is flat pricing sustainable?
The widget is served from Shopify’s CDN and discounts run inside Shopify’s checkout, so serving a 10,000-order store costs barely more than a 500-order one. Usage pricing charges more anyway, because it can. We’d rather earn a boring flat fee from a store that stays for years.
